Why haven't manufacturers given this extra power as standard?

Due to some engine operational conditions encountered around the world, such as varying fuel octane, air temperatures and altitudes, a safe all round compromise is adopted by the manufacturers to suit all of these conditions and also both fuel economy and exhaust emissions regulations.

 

Will a remap reduce the engine life span?

No, the fuel, ignition and turbo boost maps are optimised to safe limits without compromising engine life.

 

Can your remapped vehicle be detected by dealer servicing?

No, the remap is totally transparent to any engine diagnostic equipment.

 

Will it improve my MPG?

Yes, guaranteed better MPG on turbo diesel models.

 

Do I need to tell my insurance company?

Yes, Greenlight Insurance have teamed up with Evolution Chips.

 

Do my brakes need upgrading?

No, on 90% of vehicles, you don't need to upgrade the chasis or brakes after remapping.

 

Can you restore my vehicle back to standard?

Yes, all original files are stored on our database.

 

Can I send you my ECU for remapping?

Yes, you can remove the ECU yourself and send it to us. We would remap the ECU and send it back to you.This would take approximately 3 days.

 

What fuel should I use after remapping?

Super unleaded fuel, except for diesel vehicles.
